
Terrorist Tahawwur Rana appeared in court.
Terrorist Tahavwur Rana, accused of 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai in 2008, has been extradited from America on Thursday. Tehwwur Rana was brought to Palam Airport in Delhi by special aircraft after which the NIA formally arrested him. Tehwwur Rana was produced in Patiala House Court in Delhi on Thursday night. The court gave Rana’s 18 -day custody to the NIA while the central agency sought a custody of 20 days.
Tehwavur brought to court under tight security
Earlier, after landing the aircraft in India, Tawwur Rana was brought from the airport to Patiala House Court amid tight security. Special Nia Judge Chandrajit Singh appeared in the court. These cameras processed in the closed room of the court. Tehwavur Rana was provided in the court from the legal service authority. Apart from his lawyer and NIA’s legal team, the judge and his staff were present in the court.
These lawyers made arguments in court
Senior advocate Dayan Krishnan and Special Public Prosecutor Narendra Mann represented NIA in Delhi’s court. At the same time, Piyush Sachdeva, a lawyer for the Delhi Legal Services Authority, represented Tahavvur Rana in the court. The judge was informed about the entire case and information about Rana’s medical has also been given. After getting the custody, now Tahwwur Rana will be questioned at the Nia headquarters.

Tehwwur Hussain Rana is a Canadian citizen of Pakistani origin. He has also been a citizen of Chicago in America. Rana was close to David Coleman Headley, one of the main conspirators of the attack in Mumbai on 26 November 2008. Tahwwur Rana has previously worked as a doctor in the Pakistani Army for about 10 years. He then left the job and joined terrorist activities against India. Tahwwur Rana not only helped Pakistani terrorists to attack Mumbai, but was part of this entire planning.
