Kangana Ranaut
Shimla: BJP MP and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh has claimed to have a electricity bill of one lakh rupees in her vacant house in Manali. On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) rejected the claim of Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday that a month’s electricity bill of a month in his ’empty’ house in Manali has come for about one lakh rupees. HPSEBL said that the bill of Rs 90,384 is two months, including the old dues.
Video went viral on social media
Kangana, a Lok Sabha member from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, criticized the ruling Congress in the state for a “increased electricity bill” in a recently held public meeting in her constituency. A video of this public meeting is being broadcast extensively on social media. In the video, Kangana is seen saying, “I have received a one -month electricity bill for my house in Manali. I don’t even live there. I am not there.” What a bad situation. ”
Two months bill and previous dues
HPSEBL rejected Kangana’s claim, stating in a statement that the bill of Rs 90,384 is for two months (January and February 2025), including the previous dues of Rs 32,287. The statement said that Kangana did not pay her bill from October to December on time.
HPSEBL said that the total electricity bill of Kangana’s residence for October, November and December 2024 was Rs 82,061, which was not paid on time. He said, “The January and February bills were paid on March 28, during which the total consumption was 14,000 units. Thus it is clear that the monthly power consumption at Kangana’s residence was very high, which ran from an average from 5,000 units to 9,000 units. They also get subsidy given by the Government of Himachal Pradesh on electricity bill. ”
‘I am not Mr. India’
Let me tell you that Kangana Ranaut made fun of the claim of Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh on Tuesday that she is not seen anywhere in her constituency. He said that he is “Mr. India who is invisible” and that he (Vikramaditya Singh) is misleading people with such statements. Ranaut while addressing the people in Balh assembly constituency of Mandi said that Vikramaditya Singh is still in shock after the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections and hence making such comments.
Vikramaditya Singh, son of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and state Congress chief Pratibha Singh, has criticized Kangana Ranaut several times for his absence in his constituency. Ranaut said, “Raja Babu calls the press every day and makes statements that (Mandi) MPs are not visible anywhere. I go to Parliament every day. I am not Mr. India who should be invisible. “She was referring to the 1987 blockbuster film ‘Mr. India’, in which a hero starring actor Anil Kapoor finds a tool that makes him invisible. The BJP MP said that the criticism of the opposition makes sense, but Vikramaditya Singh is abusing him every day and misleading the public. He said that after taking oath as an MP, five months passed while doing parliamentary work. Ranaut reiterated that Vikramaditya Singh is still in shock after the defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. Ranaut won the Mandi seat in the 2024 general election. He defeated Vikramaditya Singh by a margin of over 70,000 votes. (input language)
